A suite designed by the Bentley group and a Wolfgang Puck restaurant are good reasons to be excited about the new St Regis Istanbul…. and then there’s that gorgeous view.

Surrounded by designer stores and trendy art galleries, the St Regis Istanbul’s location in the happening Nisantasi could not have been a better choice for a hotel set on conquering the hearts of the modern luxury traveler, and with what we’ve had the chance to see, its definitely made ours skip a beat.

First off, there are those gorgeous views from floor to ceiling windows over the city and the sparkling Bosporus straight, and the stellar design choice of Turkish architect, Emre Arolat, whose loose interpretation of Turkish Art Deco is the touch of contemporary charm that we would expect in a hotel of this type.

The Bentley suite is an absolute showstopper. Designed around a Continental GT and sporting marble flooring, a mirrored ceiling and bespoke Bentley leather sofas and veneer walls, it’s definitely a racy offering.

Another third party collaboration is the hotel’s Wolfgang Puck restaurant, the bizarrely named Spango. The celebrity chef’s latest offering is located right on the rooftop of the hotel and offers diners a stunning view, and the eclectic menu, reflects the chef’s travels around the globe. To its credit the restaurant is already being touted as the next celebrity spot in Istanbul, so I guess the view promises to be great inside and out.

The St Regis commissioned John Malkovich to give the hotel’s launch a little bit of extra artistic flair and the man has pulled it off superbly by writing and directing the short movie, “ a postcard from Istanbul” which you can see right here. Warning, one peak and you’ll probably be on the phone to us trying to book a night in this magnificent city. Talk soon!
