The Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris is one of those hotels that nobody ever simply walks past.
No matter how many times you’ve done it before, it’s impossible not to be tempted to sneak a peak at the lobby, and step inside for a few minutes to see the magnificent and ever changing floral decorations on display there. If you haven’t tried it yet, you definitely should, it’s just like magic.
But just like magic, it takes a tremendous amount of effort and artistry to make it happen.
Every week, 9000 flowers bought from the best suppliers in Holland are delivered at the George V. At the first signs of wilt, every three weeks or so, the old arrangements are replaced by Jeff Leatham, the hotel’s artistic director, who on the spot, creates something new to display. In one moment of inspiration, the hotel is changed ready to surprise returning visitors and passers by anew. It’s a lot of work. but the George V wouldn’t be the same without it.
If you would like to learn to recreate the hotel’s special atmosphere, you can participate in Jeff’s masterclass that will be run at the hotel on the 25th of April 2016 from 17:00 to 19:00, and share in his passion for art.
During the masterclass, you’ll be given the unique opportunity to contribute to the George V’s soul and share a moment with an internationally recognized artist that has worked with some of the biggest names in fashion and show business.
Leatham was awarded the prestigious “Chevalier de l’ordre des Arts et des Lettres” in 2014 and his talent is sought after by a number of luxury brands such as Alexander McQueen, Tiffany&Co and Givenchy to name a few. His portfolio also includes the likes of Madonna, Eva Longoria and the Kardashians among a list of celebrities looking for a bit of the “Leatham effect” at their private events. Clearly, you’re in good hands.
