The United Arab Emirates is now considered one of the most luxurious places in the world and judging by the hotels that you’ll find here, the reputation is a deserved one. Since there’s nothing more luxurious than a hotel suite, we decided to dive into our collection and put the UAE to the test and see just how grandiose the hotels in the region can be. Needless to say we’re impressed.
Burj Al Arab: Club One Bedroom Suite
The Burj Al Arab dubs itself the most luxurious hotel in the world.
We’ll let you be the judge of that. But with gold plated Ipads for guest use, a private reception on every floor, chauffeured Rolls Royce service and 8:1 staff to suite ratio; it’s a claim it can back up.
In the midst of all this luxury that the Burj Al Arab offers, the Club One Bedroom Suite is our personal favorite. With a maximum occupancy of 2 adults and 2 children and acres of space at your disposition, it feels more like an apartment than a hotel room, and a prime apartment at that.
The bedroom itself is an astonishing 330 square meters – generous even by Dubai standards – and if you plan on having guests, a large private bar (staffed by your private butler) and a beautiful snooker table make for great entertainment options. That is if you and your guests aren’t too busy looking outside the window.
The Burj Al Arab is the third highest building in the world and the views of the Arabian Gulf and the city of Dubai are amazing through the Club Suite’s floor to ceiling windows, and second only to what you will find at the Burj Khalifa. Waking up to these views, feels like you’re on top of the world… or at least the top of one the world’s best hotels, which some would argue, is the same.
St. Regis Abu Dhabi
Healthy competition is always a good thing. Even if Dubai is home to some of the tallest buildings in the world, Abu Dhabi has its own claim to fame: a 1,120 square meter suite perched high above sea level. Record-breaking high to be precise.
The St. Regis Abu Dhabi Suite is one of the most opulent hotel rooms we’ve set eyes upon. Even in the United Arab Emirates you’ll struggle to find better. Its 1,120sq.m of space accommodates up to 8 adults while lavishing them with the finest creature comforts money can buy: three bedrooms and bathrooms, servant’s quarters, two powder rooms and a lounge bar.
But that’s just the basics, it takes more than extra living space to earn you a place on this list.
Located in the highest sky bridge in the world, the view here is a one of a kind wow factor which’ll impress even the most jaded among you. The suites many perks include its very own cinema, a private spa, a gym, two majlis and a sky bridge living room with impressive 360 degree views over Abu Dhabi’s skyline and the gulf.
Raffles Dubai: The Dubai Floor
The Raffles Dubai’s contemporary designs are among the most stylish that you will find in the UAE, and the Dubai Floor is the cream of the crop at the hotel. Once the private residence of Sheikh Mana Al Maktoum, guests staying on the Dubai Floor will have the choice of booking the hotel’s most lavish guestrooms and suites (Deluxe Landmark Suite, Executive Landmark Suite, Ambassador Suite) and enjoy services and amenities designed to protect your privacy while delivering the finest of luxuries.
If they choose to, guests can be completely separated from the rest of the hotel thanks to private elevator access, personal chefs, private Majlis (meeting rooms) and customization options which even allow you to select the floor’s scent. It feels like another hotel all to itself. The cherry on the cake is a 9 seater private cinema and the Raffles renowned butler service.
Jumeirah at Etihad Towers: Royal Etihad Suite
The second Abu Dhabi hotel on our list shows that the city has nothing to prove to its noisy neighbor Dubai. This stunning property has all the little (and not so little) flourishes that make it stand out from the pack. In its lobby, a gigantic color changing Swarovski Chandelier, in the elevators, carefully arranged agate crystals and in its rooms, amazing vistas of the Persian Gulf especially from the hotel’s Royal Etihad Suite’s floor to ceiling windows on the 66th floor.
The suite’s 360 degree views over the Abu Dhabi Corniche, Arabian Gulf and city scape are amazing, especially in the night time. Three separate living rooms make for plenty of private space, even with the maximum number of 8 occupants present and the magnificent sunlit bathrooms are breathtaking.
One & Only The Palm: Manor House
If it’s just you and your significant other jumping on a flight to Dubai, you won’t need all of the space that earlier entries in this list offer. However, a lavish and intimate suite on a private beach, well that should do the trick.
Found on Dubai’s iconic Palm Jumeirah, the One & Only The Palm’s location alone is enough to inspire and light up your wanderlust. The artificial island is one of the world’s most recognizable places in the world. Set on 450 meters of secluded beach and with views of the Dubai skyline, the One & Only is an invitation to relax in complete luxury and comfort. Excellent cuisine by three Michelin Star Chef Yannick Alléno and one of Dubai’s best European restaurants round off the experience in this secluded luxury nest.
Our pick for the best room here, is the intimate private Beachfront Villa. Set over two floors, this Moorish inspired room gives right onto the beachfront and comes with two King Size bed master bedrooms, oversized bathrooms, a fully furnished balcony and a private temperature controlled swimming pool. Pure bliss.
