The Mandarin Oriental announces the Mandarin Oriental Beijing Qianmen

Little Black Book

The Mandarin Oriental group adds to its portfolio of hotels in the Asia Pacific with the opening of the Mandarin Oriental Qianmen Beijing in 2018.

The hotel is the group’s first in the Chinese capital, and is set to occupy the Qianmen East Hutong Quarter, minutes away from Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.

One of the Mandarin Oriental’s defining features, is its layout across the East Hutong Quarter alongside privately owned traditional residences, retail outlets, restaurants, bars and cultural venues.

With its unique layout and proximity to one of the country’s most culturally significant landmarks, the Mandarin Oriental Qianmen Beijing offers its guests a rare opportunity to experience luxury living within authentic Beijing surroundings.

To add to the hotel’s sense of tradition and authenticity, the Mandarin Oriental offers spacious courtyard suites which allow guests to experience the traditional Beijing way of life in a luxurious and private setting. The hotel’s Hutong courtyards will also include an all-day dining concept with a roof terrace, a lobby lounge, a traditional tea lounge, restaurant and a Mandarin cake shop. As the hotel is set to open in 2018, its addition in our collections is not yet confirmed. Watch this space for more information on this brand new Mandarin Oriental hotel.
