In need of some travel inspiration or a reason to splurge on some of the best hotels in the world? Then this selection of the most beautiful rooms in our collections is just what you need.
Ritz Paris – The Windsor Suite
It’s impossible not to include a room from the recently renovated Ritz Paris in this selection. The Windsor Suite pictured above was created in the image of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, once regular guests of the legendary hotel. With views over Place Vendôme, and exquisitely crafted woodwork and Louis XVI furniture, this is indeed a room fit for royalty.
Ham Yard Hotel – The Terrace Suite
One of the most booked hotels in our collection, the Ham Yard is a fine example of just how good urban retreats can get. It’s also one of the most beautifully executed projects of interior designer Kit Kemp, and there’s no finer proof of her creativity than the Ham Yard’s flagship room, the Terrace Suite.
Chedi Andermatt – The Furka Suite
Top hotels aim to blend aesthetics with comfort, and many are good at it, but few nail the “sweet spot” quite like the Chedi Andermatt. The gorgeous designs by Jean-Michel Gathy are a labor of love, and you’ll feel it the second you walk into any of the rooms. It’s all incredible stuff, but despite the impeccable standards, the Furka Suite – the hotel’s crown jewel – somehow manages to stand head and shoulders above the rest. Originally intended as a private chalet, this two-storey, 330sqm masterpiece breaks the norms of what we’ve come to expect from hotel rooms luxury or otherwise. There’s nothing else quite like it.
Amangiri – The Mesa View Suite
We don’t know if it’s the Aman’s signature minimalist designs or the fact that Utah’s breathtaking canyons are literally your backyard, but it’s hard to deny that the Amangiri’s Mesa Suites are some of the most beautiful around.
Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle – The Superior Tent
Is it cheating to call a luxury tent a hotel room? Maybe, but we couldn’t look past this Thai gem for the list. Found in Thailand’s Golden Triangle, the main attraction of this far-flung Four Seasons resort are the family of rescued elephants that you can interact with- and ride- during your stay. The second main reason for coming are the incredible Superior Tents. Rustic, and with outdoor hot tubs and sundecks overlooking the rain forests of Thailand, they are hands down some of the most beautiful hotel rooms in our collections (or tents if you’re being picky).
41 Hotel – The Conservatory Suite
With it’s signature black and white monochrome colors, the Conservatory Suite looks like no other hotel room in London, and as far as we know, the world. But it’s more than the chess board color palette that gets this suite on the list. A retractable glass roof lets you spend the night under the stars, and floods the room with natural light during the day.
Hôtel Plaza Athenée – The Eiffel Signature Suite
Among the cream of the crop, the Hôtel Plaza Athenée’s Eiffel Signature Suite is one of the most beautiful hotel rooms in the world, and represents the pinnacle of French luxury thanks to direct views of the Eiffel Tower, tasteful Art Deco interiors and special touches like a Grand Piano and gorgeous murals.
The Peninsula Hong Kong – The Peninsula Suite
Sleek, chic, contemporary, sassy… insert any other adjective or superlative and you still won’t do this suite justice. Equipped with a grand piano, private cinema and gym, you’ve got everything to keep you content, but if you do want to head out, a private Rolls Royce and chauffeur are on 24-hour call… Now that’s the suite life.
