Behind Grand Luxury Hotels and the exceptional experiences we offer across the globe is a team intensely passionate about travel, and last year, we made one of the most exciting additions to the family yet. 

His name is Jean-Pierre Soutric, 4th generation hotelier and an experienced player of the luxury hotel industry with 20 years of that experience garnered at Four Seasons. His address in the oldest district of Paris, Le Marais, says it all. With a classical education background, a Masters in Business Administration, and a teaching experience at the Université de La Rochelle,  he has been, since May 2018, a card we play close to the vest. 

“I joined this industry and learned excellence, quality, how to strategize, how to coach and lead Sales & Marketing- I have seen the opening of four Four Seasons hotels- and face a complex and ever-changing travel distribution. I also met the best professionals and unconditional lovers of their job.”

He also adds:

“After a long career “this side of the mirror”, I felt it was time to “edit” my life and do something I really love: make people dream of travel and at the same time keep in close contact with my fellow hoteliers and industry friends. It’s been a fantastic journey and today I feel privileged to run Grand Luxury Hotels’ strategic partnerships with leading luxury groups such as LHW, Marriott Luxury, Four Seasons, Dorchester, Rosewood, Rocco Forte, Six Senses, Red Carnation, Relais & Châteaux and many more.”

Jean-Pierre has also been instrumental in the Grand Luxury family entering the cruise industry with partners like Seabourn, Regent, Ponant, Crystal and Uniworld. In his own words, he is motivated by new opportunities to:

“Discover exceptional gem properties, and explore new angles to better meet our clients’ expectations (be it single travelers, adventure seekers, music and art buffs, off the beaten track wanderers, corporate events, themed travelers and more.”

“The next challenge is to create a true one-stop destination, soon to be called Grand Luxury Immersions, to offer our clients genuine 360° travel experiences across the globe.”

In every sense of the word, Jean-Pierre believes in bridging culture and travel. According to him, 

“The future of tourism is no longer solo white sandy beaches, but culture, education, environment and community support.”
